I don't have any idea where to start. I managed to get several months behind once again... but life moves at a pace that I guess I have to acknowledge I cannot keep up with.

I've been running the road, as usual, the past few months and have been working at the local truck driving school here and there during my home time. I like working with students once again but it really keeps me busy. I am one of those people who isn't happy unless she is very busy, then complains that there's too much to do.

Let's see... where have I been? Naturally I have been roaming the East coast, back and forth, up n down. As usual for me, there have been many trips to Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. My favorite load to pull out of Pennsylvania is out of Hershey, PA because those are candy loads. At at least one plant, the driver is invited in and welcomed to take candy from a bin of candy bars that have been partially smashed or are otherwise damaged, but I can assure you, they taste perfectly fine.

Since I cannot possibly remember all of the trips that I've pulled since my last entry, here's something of a list of them. Obviously they are not in exact order.

The billboard reads, "Let the competition into your lane?  C'mon...this is Boston."

I think this sums it up pretty well when it comes to describing what it is like to drive in Beantown.  Let me suffice it to say that driving a big truck into Boston proper requires a lot of extra attention to detail!  If you can drive a tractor/trailer here, you can drive anywhere.

Bottom photo:  Traffic on I-70.  Traffic on I-70 in Ohio is almost always very heavy.  To make driving in Ohio more difficult and dangerous, Ohio has a split speed limit.  This causes much strife between cars and trucks.  On top of that, speed enforcement in Ohio is possibly the most severe of any of the states.  Trucks attempting to pass other trucks force the faster moving cars to slow, which holds up the works and makes congestion a constant problem. Split speed limits are proven to be more dangerous, but several states have them anyway.
